The Ship2Ship 2016 Tour will make its third stop at Chicago on January 16! As the date approaches tickets have been selling quickly! Tier 1 & Tier 2 already have sold out for this show. Many people bought their tickets as soon as they went on sale because you don’t always get to see three amazing producers at once. Destructo with his G House & funky techno music. Dirty Bird’s, Justin Martin joining him with his unique & catchy techno tracks. Lastly, we have Rezz who ended 2015 with a big come up! 2016 is definitely looking like hers for the taking.
Ship2Ship show will most likely sell out by Wednesday or Thursday of this week. The show will be held at The MID. It’s a 21+ show, expecting 21-40 year olds. Older people seem to be attracted to these kind of shows, but don’t be surprised if you see a large crowd of young adults.
Rezz will be playing again at her hometown, Chicago after playing at Reaction NYE on December 30 of 2015. If you missed her set at Reaction NYE, I suggest you don’t miss her this Saturday. Her music is out of this world. Many people call her Gesaffelstein’s sister because they both play that dark, weird but catchy techno. Justin Martin’s last visit to Chicago was at Freaky Deaky. His set was one of the most talked about around my friends, they seemed to really love the funky tracks he played. If you caught his set at Freaky Deaky, then you certainly know what I’m talking about.
The one and only Destructo. Although, I’ve never seen him live before, I’m very excited to see him this Saturday. His techno tracks are a bit different compared to Rezz & Justin Martin’s music. He brings out his own sounds with what he calls “G House” very funky & at times some very heavy deep bass. Listening to his live sets surely makes you want to get up and groove, but if you really want to bust out your funky dance moves, I suggest you come out and see him live & not just listen to his live sets.
