Returning to the lovely Tampa area, Sunset Music Festival will be the event of this Memorial Day Weekend for all electric dance music fans, new and old. Sunset returns for its 5th year in a row to the Raymond James Stadium, known for its excellent sound and stage production. Staff from Sunset have claimed that this year’s visuals will help fans “get in the zone and take the energy of the crowd to a next level”. Large claims for a fest that is widely known, but is not quite on the same level as festivals such as Ultra or EDC. I am extremely excited to see what Disco Donnie, Sunset Events, and Heartbeat International brings to the table; it will definitely be a weekend those in attendance will not want to forget.
Single day tickets went on sale about a week ago and are extremely useful for those that live in the area but can either only attend for one day, or want to see a particular artist. On Sunset’s website, it is still not too late to add various amenities and items that can be available for pick up once you arrive at the stadium. Some of these add ons include lockers, cat ears that change colors with the beat of the music, and a handful of other things.
Last week, Sunset released the specific days and times for sets, and it is safe to say the lineup is stacked as the night goes on. From 7:00pm until the end on both Saturday and Sunday, there are so many sets that clash with times, which may make it a tad difficult for fans who want to see both. Luckily, the stadium is large, but not too large to where being able to see all that you want to see not impossible; you just may be a little tired at the end of the night from running back and forth. Because of the clashing times, Jauz has poked at the idea of doing a 4 way b2b with DJ’s that play at the same time, but one can only hope for something as magical as that to happen!
At SMF I play the same time as @snailmusic , @FuntCaseUK plays same as @marshmellomusic …I smell an epic 4 way b2b so all fans r happy lol

Sunset features all genres of dance music. Everything from drum and bass to house tropical to trance, pleasing every and all in between. The four headliners, Hardwell (Sat.), Galantis (Sat.), Jack U (Sun.), and The Chainsmokers (Sun.) are some of the most talked about names in the dance community today. I am excited to get down with Hardwell on Saturday and The Chainsmokers on Sunday.

Marshmello, another name being massively talked about in the community, will also be a show to not miss. Mello never disappoints with the crowd-pleasers, but always manages to put his own twists on popular songs. Other featured DJ’s include tropical house favorite Thomas Jack, laidback indie Jai Wolf, heavy hitter Zomboy, and many more.
Sunset will be the official summer fest kickoff and I am beyond excited to be able to experience so many awesome DJ’s all under one stadium.
