Coming into the show, I already knew the night was going to be a magical evening. However, I did not realize how much it would take my breath away, and I wound up more impressed than I thought possible.The only downside was, since the show was on a Wednesday it ended early, only CID & Galantis played, but that’s all the show really needed.
I have seen CID once before when I went to see Kaskade at Navy Pier but I honestly did not realize how talented he was until watching him open for Galantis. There was not one part of his set I did not like and I am picky about house music normally. The way he kept going back to this one similar sound throughout his set really impressed me because it happened in such a way that made it not too repetitive. His set was perfect to get everyone in a good mood and excited for Galantis to come up next.
I’ve been following Galantis since 2013 when I was introduced to EDM. So I have watched them grow bigger and bigger through the years but I never got the chance to see them play live. I really had no idea what to expect. I’ve never experienced a show that made me feel so happy in my life. CID already made the entire venue a positive environment, but Galantis sent positive vibes through the roof. Every single person I came across, looked like they were having the time of their lives. Just pure bliss. Both CID and Galantis completely exceeded my expectations by far. I was lucky to be able to attend and cannot wait to see them play again, hopefully in the near future.
