Boston up and comer with a knack for poppy singing/songwriting has returned with “out of my mind.” Last year Gillian Heidi shared an unstoppable slew of strong songs, gearing up for what has been a rather impressive 2021.
There’s always a certain element of truthfulness Gillian Heidi embraces and values through her music. No matter the instruments put on display – but many times being a piano or guitar – she knows how to capture the trails and triumphs of a relatable spectrum. In, “out of my mind,” she has stitched together an imaginative plot sharing a relationship heading south. In this case, substance abuse, lack of overall relationships, and very direct emotion hits like a tone of bricks. Something about Gillian instills an impression of a old soul in a young body, which for better or for worse, will undoubtedly play a positive in the music.
Starting this project in 2019 with the showcasing of Unfiltered EP, single, “What It Felt Like,” from the collection of tracks went on to the biggest point of success, landing over 200,000 streams on Spotify alone. 2021 continues to share good things with Gillian with the music certainly being up to par.
