Governors Ball Announces 2017 Lineup

January 4, 2017 by John Zajac

New York’s festival is back to Randall’s Island for their 2017 edition and it’s as impressive as ever. The star-studded festival brings timeless legends and the hottest of artists to the table time and time again. This year is no different.

The Governors Ball is blessing us with Tool who will be playing their first New York performance in over a decade, Chicago’s golden boy Chance the Rapper, stellar French band Phoenix, and many, many more. Some electronic music fans may have a tough time getting themselves into going to the fest since the only notable names are Flume, Marshmello, Rufus Du Sol, Gryffin, to name a few. Nonetheless, you can’t go wrong with some Childish Gambino, Wu-Tang Clan, Cage The Elephant, and ScHoolboy Q just to name a few.

Grime fans are also a little lucky this year with both the legend Skepta and up-and-comer Stormzy coming to the festival. Those two together are some huge names that would go way higher up on that list if it were held in the UK.

Tickets can be bought for the June 2-4th event here starting January 6th: https://www.governorsballmusicfestival.com/tickets/
