When I think of a perfect combination of three of my favorite musicians, Cherub and Griz take the cake. The unique raw funkiness of Cherub combined with the sax and funk that Griz brings to the table automatically makes for something awesome. PS GFY (PS Go F*** Yourself) definitely lives up to the hype and is the second single released early from Griz’s new album dropping this Friday: Good Will Prevail.
PS GFY features a blend of super funky bass and blasting horns, plus the oozingly cool sax that Griz just kills every single time. All this intertwined with the vocals from Cherub really make the message for this song extremely clear. Don’t mess with these guys, that’s for sure!
This is what Griz had to say about PS GFY when asked about the meaning behind the song:
“I originally wrote this song about my brothers ex-gf but then it turned into a funky middle fingers up but celebratory and super swaggerific f*ck you to anyone who done you mad dirty.
While I was coming up with the hook, it was undeniable that somehow the whole time this song was being written for Cherub, they were the perfect fit. We’ve wanted to work on a song for a long time. GRiZ and Cherub is like wake and bake, starsky and hutch, doses and mimosas.”

Griz will be touring this fall all across the United States. Be sure to check him out if he is stopping in your town… who knows what surprises will be in store for attendees?
