We here at By The Wavs are in awe of Halsey. If you’re into electronic dance music, you’re already familiar with her incredible vocals in such tracks with The Chainsmokers and Lido. Although, her heart is far more extraordinary than her vocals as she is an artist who truly cares. In the early evening yesterday, Halsey put out this tweet:

She marched with stitches all over her body and in pain because she’s currently recovering from a surgery to treat endometriosis – a disease that ruins the reproductive organs. This disease was diagnosed by Planned Parenthood and help her treat it. With that, she stated she would donate $1 for every retweet she earned for the next five hours up to $100,000. As you can tell by the title, she reached the goal very quickly.

We are and continue to be lifelong fans of Halsey. She’s really standing up for what she believes in and inspiring others to do the same as well. This is not the first time we’ve seen Halsey donate to a cause, but we know for certain it won’t be the last. If you would like to do so, donate to Planned Parenthood as well!
