We cannot believe that we are writing this. The fact that we made it this far is incredible. EDM Assassin is officially three years old (based on the relaunch. We can say how much we’ve accomplished, but to be fair, that is just peanuts. We want to focus on the future and continue to look ahead.
What we do appreciate more than anything is everyone that helped and supported us along this journey. From everyone involved in the site to the artists that help us grow. Those who believed in us and continue to follow us, this is for you.
In just a few days, EDM Assassin will be no more. We do not mourn this fact. NO! We are beyond excited for what we can do for you. We are doubling down on what we can do to make sure everyone hears great music. We don’t focus on just the biggest artists. That was never our priority. We want to share good music and the source regardless their fan base doesn’t make a difference
We started this site because we were fans of Electronic Dance Music. Three years later, we have more of an appreciation for the music because not only do we still love the music, but we appreciate the artists on a personal level. We share this unity with everyone.
In the past three years, we had a sister site, The EDM Family. Although, that didn’t go as planned, we’re going to take what we intended for that site and combine it with our new site. That site was able to raise $1,000 for the Pulse Nightclub Fund and celebrate that we’re all fans regardless where we live. That is what makes us fans.
There are countless specific people to thank, so I, Grant, thank everyone who has ever written the 7,000 plus articles. As a whole, we thank all the artists that followed us, retweeted, or shared an article of ours. We thank the artists housed us when we were in a different city and had no place to stay. We thank the artists that recognized us at different shows. We thank the readers that came and said hello to us. We thank every PR company that allowed us to have an exclusive. We thank those who allowed us to giveaway free tickets to shows and festivals. We thank every show for providing us media so we can cover your show.
Most importantly, we want to thank you. We thank you for following us. We thank you for reading our articles. We thank you for contributing to the site. We thank you for the great conversations. We thank you for the insight. We thank you for everything we do because we do it for you.
This may be the end of EDM Assassin, but we promise that what we have in store will only make you proud of what we have become and continue to strive to be. Good news is that you won’t have to follow a new page or a new site. Everything will be smooth and flawless for your convenience.
