Your daily dose of neuro DnB has arrived via Eatbrain and Hypoxia’s “Cognition” EP. Stemming from medical terms relating to the brain, each track on this EP takes you deeper into the world of neuro DnB and all of the variety it has to offer. Starting off uptempo with some bright notes, “Ripgroove” dives right into the fury without ever skipping a beat. Unrelenting, the track blends together a cacophony of sounds to bring you the best of neuro. With the title track next, breaks in the track are filled with the echoing sounds of your subconscious fighting to be heard. The tempo is turned up and your conscious hearing returns to the sounds of DnB where everything feels right.
Last we have “Membrane Theory”. Easily the most interesting named track on the EP, this one gives listeners something a little heavier in addition to the percussion-heavy DnB sound. It wouldn’t be an EP honoring the brain without sound bites talking about “spacetime”. Listen close to see if you understand, but you’re better off just enjoying. Let us know what you think!
