For those who are both EDM and racing fans, the Indy 500 is quickly approaching. The beer company Coors Light will be sponsoring this year’s Indy 500 Snake Pit. Thousands of fans will be running onto the infield on Race Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to hear some big-name artists perform. To be honest, I didn’t know that this was a real event, I am not big on people driving in giant circles. That being said, the headliner for this event was announced earlier today.
The May 29th lineup includes Martin Garrix, Zeds Dead, DJ Mustard, and Skrillex as the, until now, mystery headliner. The diversity in the artists is…interesting, to say the least. There have been instagram promo videos and youtube videos coming out about the event and even a countdown meter. Follow #Indy500SnakePit if you’re interested in seeing more. Apparently, this is a pretty big event. The crowds get packed out and you see American Flags everywhere. Good luck in Indianapolis.
For those interested in attending this Nascar-encouraged show, General Admission tickets are on sale for $20 and VIP tickets are being sold for $85 here (You need tickets to the race in order to get into the Snake Pit).
Also, on May 27th, what is called Carb Day, will be Journey and on May 28th Blake Shelton will headline “Legends Day”.
