Buttercream Bookworm captures some original lofi beats with hip-hop aesthetics. The theme is a popular one these days, but there’s something particularly special about what is brought to life in this case. Rising label INTRASET has scooped the tracks made by Letsko, Teset and Maxina and stitched it together as a proper fitting compilation.
Across the ten tracks is a feel that’s neutral in many ways, yet triggers a sense of inward reflection as each track makes it’s way through you. There’s more that meets the eye, such as with the signal “Minority,” which tosses in some satisfying r&b aspects for good measure. There’s a bit of something for everyone to enjoy with Buttercream Bookworm.
Label INTRASET seems to only be getting started. After hitting well over the million play mark with the TESET’s LP last year, things are on the rise in an organic righteous way.
What’s to come next from the label isn’t exactly clear, but the direction that’s going on seems to be delivering in a reoccurring manner.
