This weekend Kaskade took to Twitter to express some of his concerns about DJ’s who play at big name festivals. Although his concerns were more along the lines of pet peeves than criticisms, he certainly has an interesting take. Kaskade explains how he’s not a big fan of when DJ’s play house remixes of songs by artists like Coldplay or The Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is a trend we have seen grow in the past couple of years, but is this the right direction for festival sets? Is Kaskade right about this? He suggests that DJ’s who try fitting those types of remixes in a set consecutively would be better off as wedding DJ’s. That sounds about right. Do you agree?
