Keys n Krates have kicked off the new year with a bang, releasing a new tune along with their three most recent singles in the form of the Midnite Mass EP – and it’s a good one. The first two songs (U Already Know and I Know U) are more danceable, although they’re more restrained than past releases like Are We Faded or Dum Dee Dum. The latter two focus on female vocals and atmosphere over being bangers. All of the songs are very pleasing to listen to and it’s evident that the band’s style is progressing, which is a credit to Keys n Krates given the similarity of styles in the Trap scene. Here’s hoping that this EP paves the way for 2016 and we start hearing more unique styles come to the fore.
