Last year Keys n Krates released their hotly anticipated EP Midnite Mass, and have now enlisted quite a few big names to remix the songs off the EP. Autolaser and KRNE turn Trap into some seriously good Future Bass, Promnite, Stooki Sound and Jakwob completely forget about genres in their remixes and DJ Q turns Nothing But Space into a UK style Deep House banger. The great thing about this remix EP is that every remix has been made with a similar viewpoint to EDM as Keys n Krates: that genres can be useful to guide production but it’s also good to break the rules – not on occasion, but wherever it suits.
