I am not an avid listener of future bass. I do enjoy the subgenre, but I never really seek it out like I do other types of music. That being said, when Martron’s remix of Marshmello’s Alone passed through my Soundcloud, I was thoroughly interested. The track was made for the Marshmello x Splice remix and it was done very well.
I think he did an excellent job keeping the vocal stems and changing up the beat which accompanied the vocals. I loved the samples that push the track along, giving the feeling of a quicker tempo even though the actual track wasn’t sped up. When it comes to the drop, its amazing how slowed it sounds, while still keeping to the original track.
I definitely suggest giving it a listen below.
