Hard dance music is a genre we don’t feature much here on EDM Assassin, I’m going to change that, starting with one of my favorite remixes of all time.
Porter Robinson and tracks from Worlds have been remixed up and down, “Sad Machine” has another gift to give with Darren Styles and Gammer giving us happy hardcore Porter, damn is it stunning. The melodic nature of “Sad Machine” and the vocals that have become iconic play an integral role in the remixed track as Darren Styles and Gammer turn the tempo up and get your feet moving in a blur.
Happy hardcore takes the beautiful qualities of “Sad Machine” keeps them, then takes the breakdowns and runs off the tracks with the tempo and sound design, turning this track into one of my favorites of all time. Night or day, happy or sad, this remix has it all as Porter’s Worlds tracks keep on giving with their versatility and depth. The emotions are not lost with the happy hardcore, but rather heightened and extrapolated out a million times. Turn the volume up, give yourself a little more room, and grab a box of tissues, because you’re going to need all of them with this remix. Enjoy 😉
