So if you haven’t heard of the label Blackout Music, let me give you some background. It’s a label created by the heavy hitters in the neurofunk scene known as Black Sun Empire, and they don’t let just anyone be a part of their label. Pythius has been emerging onto the scene with some straight bangers and they continue on his latest EP, Heresy. Most of the tracks are collaborations with other notable artists you know this won’t be the only time you’ll hear these songs. With collaborations from Black Sun Empire, Neon Light, State Of Mind, DJ Hidden, and Khronos… buckle up for a journey.
Leading off with a massive tune with the owners of the label, Heresy starts off quite chilled out as if it were the start of a DJ’s live set then quickly amps up into a nasty drop with a crazy bass line. It truly does match the name of the EP however we have much more where that came from.
The next track, also my favorite of the whole EP is Tarkin. And let me just say this monster will rip apart dance floors at many shows across the globe. The melody of the song along with the bassline just had me in awe with how much I’d love to hear this tune dropped at a show.
The rest of the EP delves into some sick jump up tunes as well as some breaks which I wish everyone loved as much as I do. If you ever get the chance to see Pythius throw down a set… consider yourself lucky because you will leave a completely new person. And if you’re just hearing about him now listen up on the rest of his songs at https://soundcloud.com/pythius. You won’t be disappointed.
