With different sub-genres of music seemingly popping up every day, creating a culture all their own, it’s hard to get these groups to mesh correctly. When it does happen, it creates an eclectic environment, where every single attendee enjoys themselves and looks forward to the event year after year. This is exactly what Prime Social Group has done with their yearly event, #Fest. As #Fest rounded out its 15th year, it had attendees of from opposite side of the musical spectrum, EDM and Rap, all dancing and divulging in the experience, showing music knows no bounds.
Having a wide array of artist, both nationally known and regional artist that are blasting into the spotlight, Prime Social Group provided more than just a music festival; they provided us with 2 days of immersive experiences. Featuring a perfect mix national and regional talents such as Jauz, Waka Flocka, Herobust, Louis The Child, Quinn XCII, CrankDat, Party Thieves, Corrupt, Lancelott, Crwd Cntrl, Chuck Diesel, & many more.
As day 1 came to a start, the atmosphere was full of energy and excitement at The Venue of Athens as over 15,000 people were getting ready to dance the next 2 days away. With Blue and Mod Sun setting the tempo early, they had the crowd ready for more. CrankDat took the stage next and proved why he’s one of the brightest up and coming stars in EDM. As Herobust got his set going, he done exactly what he does best, pulverize dance floors. While Waka Flocka kept the party going after and was the final act of the main stage for day 1, attendees were left still wanting to groove the night away and moved their way to The Prime Stage. With Yookie getting things underway, the Prime Stage crowd grew at an accelerating pace. Soon after, Lancelott brought the swarp all the way from Appalachia to #Fest; while Crwd Cntrl officially brought night 1 to a close shortly after.
As light rain hit the area over night, the weather cleared up and had everyone more than ready for the final day. While shenanigans were commencing early in the camp grounds, the masses were flooding back in and Quinn XCII had the vibes flowing early, setting a blissful atmosphere for all to enjoy.
With vendors & food booths of every type, it was easy to get lost in the immersive experience Prime Social Group had provided. As the day progressed, acts such as Migos, 21 Savage, and Louis The Child had crowds all in their own world, without a single worry in the air.
When Young Thug took the stage, the crowd immediately became the biggest party in Ohio. But little did the majority of the crowd know, Chuck Diesel had a party of his own going at the Prime Stage. Dropping banger after banger to his intimate, but wild crowd was leading to the moment we had all been waiting for: Jauz. Throwing down for a full hour, he proved exactly why he is one of the world’s largest EDM stars.
While the crowd was still buzzing from Jauz, they once again made their way to the Prime Stage. With the magic of #Fest coming to an end, we were all blessed with a back to back to back set by Party Thieves, Crankdat, and Corrupt before Corrupt finally brought a close to the festival in front of his beloved hometown crowd.
