RL Grime is a master at what he does, from producing tracks to DJing clubs and murdering festivals. There is an amazing dynamic about him that few can pull off. At only 23, Henry is continually dropping amazing music with chart topping LP’s, fiery originals or subwoofer-rumbling remixes. His newest release Tell Me was victim to a large amount of hype. Did it live up to it? You know it did. Check it out here…

When it comes to his live shows, his mixing skills are impeccable and on Tuesday night it was no different. He truly knows how to control a crowd and feed off their reactions. RL Grime is one DJ you should go see regardless of musically preference. His set spawned from trap to house, rap and hardstyle. He is a genius at taking unexpected left turns and keeps you so incredibly interested that if you’re not having fun, you should leave the EDM community immediately. He slayed Webster Hall. When there are moments the whole crowd is moving in unison —  smiling, raging, dancing you know RL Grime was destroying a place. It’s incredible to see a DJ’s diversity utilized so well. Throughout his live set he will switch up the genre so skillfully that you have no choice but to cheer. One of the most memorable of the night was a long house build up that dropped into the Work Remix. The crowd went insane. Here is a shitty (vertical) video but you get the point…

Another great 180 moment was when he dropped  All Me by Drake and right as Big Sean’s verse goes, “Ho shut the fuck up!” he lays down this dirty ass trap song called JWLS IS BORED PART VIII.

These are the moment I live for, the moments that make EDM amazing. That moments that make it worth staying out til 8am, the moments that make  waiting in the sun for hours at a festival just to get that great spot in front of the stage for your favorite performer. RL Grime is here to stay and the EDM industry is better off for it. If he comes to your town or is at the festival you are going to, don’t miss him! I promise he’ll have you dancing from start to finish no matter what genre is your favorite.
