If you thought that British supergroup Rudimental had conquered all of their possible directions over their last two epic albums, you’d be forgiven for believing that. That’s what Healing does: it disproves you and then forgives you. It’s a slow Disco / House style epic, and absolutely everything about it screams the British 1980’s. And it sounds awesome.
As Rudimental have done with more than a few artists, they’re introducing little-known J Angel to the world, even though he’s already worked with a multitude of huge artists. And his vocals absolutely make the tune too. If you like really old school House tunes with a bit of live instrumentation then Healing is the perfect song for you, and with its 7.5 minute length there’s more than enough to enjoy for a very long time.
