EDM Assassin regulars will remember Win & Woo from Grant and I’s Chicago adventure, but more likely from the incredible music they continue to produce. Their remix of ‘Emily’ is no exception, well better maybe. Because it is the middle of the summer (though rainy in Colorado) I always want to hear more tropical house, more deep house, because damn does it just feel absolutely right. Answering my dreams with this remix, Win and Woo provide a down-tempo groove for ‘Emily’ that blurs the lines between genres.
When you listen you can hear the soulful vibes that pervade tropical house while the bass is just a little too deep to be called tropical, but perhaps deep house. The melody accompanying the deep vocals is fantastic, setting the stage for the dance floor to be alive with people grooving to the beat. Slow, but perfect.
