Sander Van Doorn – Oh Amazing Bass (Tiesto Club Life Premiere)

June 5, 2015 by Alessio Anesi

Someone of you still remember how the Helden phenomenon and in general the entire Future movement began? Well, if you don’t remember, let me refresh your memory:  it’s all started when, no other than Tiesto, played this ID – ID (Gecko) on his Club Life Podcast, defining it the sound of the future. Almost a year and a half has passed and, seeing how the thing are, we can say without any doubt that he was absolute right.

So, you can understand why, while I was surfing on Soundcloud, I’ve got shivers when I’ve found myself in front of this mysterious Club Life’s premiere, presented without the artist’s name.
In the podcast, Tiesto himself describe it ‘filthy, cool and different’ and in fact it’s something that you never expected to be played by the Dutch legend. It’s not Future or Deep  any more, it’s something very underground and industrial. It sounds closer to techno sounds rather the soft and melodic sounds we used to listen in the last couple of years, that someone didn’t hesitate to coin a new name, ‘Future Garage’ , to this hypothetical new genre.

The web community also wasted no time attempting to guess who is the artist behind that tune. They have already already guessed hundreds of names among which, the most likely in my opinion, are: Sander Van Doorn (cause it’s recent change of style and because the track will be out on DOORN) and Disco Fries (because the filthy sounds are their trademark).

However, we won’t know this answer until the 29 of June but, in truth, I’m more excited to see if Tiesto has guessed the new trend once more.
