Next year, in 2017, Shambhala Music Festival will turn 20 years old. Now, if you’re not familiar with Shambhala, it is one of those festivals that stands out from all of the rest. It doesn’t do the whole major electronic dance music stars. It doesn’t have the extreme wild stages. It just does the good vibes and good times. Plus, the music festival is health progressive with a tent dedicated to drug safety and testing. In the past few years, you have the festival selling out faster and faster. Now, in 2016 for 2016, Shambhala Music Festival has sold out in less than 24 hours. This is absolutely insane. You hear this about major festivals like Tomorrowland, but Shambhala proved it is a titan in the festival season. Here is their statement that was on Facebook.

We are blown away by what just happened. For all of you that purchased tickets today, thank you so much. In our wildest dreams we couldn’t have imagined we would sell out the 20th Annual Shambhala Music Festival in less than 24 hours. We knew there was a lot of momentum and excitement after this year’s festival, but to sell out this quickly is unprecedented. To the thousands of you now with tickets, we promise you a party for the ages.At the same time, we would like to apologize for the technical difficulties some of you experienced today. We know they caused frustration and heartache, however, our system was overwhelmed by an extreme traffic surge that caught us by surprise. We will use the coming days to rectify any purchase problems that might be outstanding. We will also work to ensure this problem doesn’t happen again in the future.
