I have no idea where Slushii came from, or how long he has been DJing for, but I love the stuff he is putting out. After hearing the Galantis remix he did, I needed to hear more. Slushii really tries to keep new music, whether new tracks or remixes, coming out periodically to keep fans intrigued. His latest track, Closer, is an original mix he released at the start of March on his soundcloud.
Looking at the album artwork, you would almost expect Slushii to release a psychedelic track. But this track is amazingly mellow giving a nice twist to his tropical house style. It is a relatively slow tempo with a nice drum sample. The vocals, asking, “lets get closer”, makes this a nice song to put on when you’re getting ready before a show; if you know what I mean.
