I’ve hit up a few Sunday Attire sets in the past and I know how he throws down, but I’ve never heard him take it back like this. The newest mix is exactly as advertised; 45 minutes of shuffle-friendly jams (with a brief cooldown section at the end) dedicated to the summer, begging to be played at your next pool party. I was pleasantly surprised, however, by how nostalgic I was by the whole thing. Simply put, The Summer Shuffle is an awesome compilation of 80s/90s radio classics refreshed with an uptempo house face-lift.
From Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock and Yes to Sheryl Crow and Ram Jam, I was impressed by the genre diversity of the source material and how smoothly the house blended together. I got pulled in by the MJ and Prince and found myself playing the I-know-this-song-but-I-forgot-who-made-it game. I know Zhu’s Faded is thrown in there somewhere – and even some Fetty Wap – but that track is dope and gets a pass. This mix is a definite listen and you can find below.
