Danger. Usually something we all stay away from, though sometimes we never see it coming. The Blue Elephant takes a dance house track and overlays melodic vocals to tell the story of someone looking to be happy but potentially following a dangerous path to get there. The song includes many breakdowns where the house aspect of the song really shines, then fades back into the melodic vocals with ease and grace.
The video for the song is powerful in its own right as well. We watch a young girl look for happiness in all the wrong places as she puts herself into situations that could be dangerous for her. The song follows the video with what is depicted and the vocals of the song. IT’s great to see the vision of the song come to life in a music video where we can see the emotions on screen that a song has elicited from us.
