Following on the heels of a remix for The Chainsmokers that is on fire with 3 million plays on Soundcloud, The Him are releasing their third original single “Feels Like Home”. The characteristic deep house bass is an undertone for an incredibly bright and uptempo melody-type-thing. I’m not sure what to call that, it sure doesn’t sound like a traditional melody, but then again, who cares what is traditional, this is music. I quite enjoy the departure from the norm, I could hear a thousand songs that are deep house with a similar sounding melody and the deep house bass we have come to known.
I’d much rather hear something that is unique, and not to mention, pleasing to the ears. The melody compliments the vocals well and there is even a bit of trap influence if you listen close. Check it out and let us know what you think!
