So, on the YouTube account “What’s Inside?”, the father-son duo take different objects and cut those objects straight down the middle in order to show viewers what the inside of the objects look like. In this episode, the father was in L.A. and was given the opportunity to meet with the artist Marshmello.
The video, shown below, shows the father at a Marshmello concert in L.A. where snippets of the trip are montaged over the song Alone by Marshmello. The video shows a comical version of Marshmello presenting the father with an older version of the Marshmello helmet. In the montage, Marshmello doesn’t talk, he only does hand motions. At the end of the montage, the father brings home to his son to cut open.
When he returns home, the father tells the views that how the montage went wasn’t actually what happened. In reality, the father and Marshmello spoke for a bit of time. Marshmello even took off his helmet to show the father what the newer versions of the Marshmello helmet looks like. During this time, apparently, the father found out that the current model of helmet is made with a 3-D printer, and unfortunately they only have a few of the helmets in supply. They had lost one when going through airport security, TSA broke it. They are attempting to produce more at a cheaper price to sell to fans. Currently, one helmet costs $5,000 US to create.
This version of the helmet is a much older version. When they show the top of the helmet, it has the bottom of a bucket style. The older Marshmello helmets were buckets. The eyes and mouth were cut out and mesh was placed with adhesive inside in order to allow him to look out but not to be easily seen. To security it in place on his head, Marshmello has the plastic band that are inside construction hardhat helmets. The final bit is a light that is stuck with adhesive to the top corner. This light is the primitive version of the light designs that flash during Marshmello’s sets.
Keep an eye out for another “What’s Inside?” as they attempt to get the newer Marshmello helmets to open up.
P.S… This guy doesn’t really know about dance music, please for give him….
