Throwback Thursday: Daft Punk – Technologic

September 24, 2015 by Nick Grindrod

Technologic.DaftPunk.single

Human After All might not be Daft Punk’s most famous album, but it did a lot for their image as a futuristic-robot duo, and their music on the album reflected that. Technologic was one of the lead singles off Human After All, and everything about the song really is a testament to the image that the faceless duo created. The guitar is so warped that it could sound like a robot trying to cough up a hairball, and the lyrics (sung in a robotic voice) are catchy and list pretty much everything that you could do on a computer back in 2005 when it was released.

The video features a cross between a scary doll and a robot saying the lyrics, while Daft Punk play the guitar. It’s simple and repetitive enough to really hammer home the robot theme that worked so well for the song and album. Have another listen to this classic and really get into what Daft Punk is all about!
