This is one of those songs that so many people have heard so many times before and absolutely loved, but never known its name or who made it. Toca’s Miracle was originally released in 2000 as a mashup of Fragma’s 1999 instrumental Toca Me, and the vocals from CoCo Star’s 1996 song I Need A Miracle. It’s a light Trance song with minimal synths and strings, with the focus being on the beat and vocals – and this combination was what made it famous.
It was re-released quite a few times, with the 2008 version also becoming relatively popular. The drop in that version has a greater focus on synths, with the sound design being very similar to Deadmau5’s style. This doesn’t take away from the beat and vocals again, which make the song so danceable and memorable. There were quite a few other re-releases, however a lot were surrounded by controversy due to copyright infringements and unauthorized releases, with CoCo Star often losing out as a result. Nonetheless, the song was still massive and is instantly recognizable to this day. Have a listen to the 2000 club mix and the 2008 original mix below.
