This week we’ve got another really old one, the classic Pop tune Everybody’s Free. Released in 1991, it was well ahead of its time as its beat simultaneously combined House and Drum and Bass, the two major genres that the UK would make their own. That being said, everyone knows this song because of its lyrics. Rozalla’s voice shines through like a bright light with her feel-good lyrics (literally), which are still instantly recognisable today through the sound of her vocals, let alone the lyrics themselves. Everybody’s Free is an iconic tune and even though it doesn’t sound electronic, it’s massively influenced UK electronic scene among others, as well as the Pop industry through its forward thinking production and iconic vocals.
