It’s always interesting and fascinating seeing how an artist reinvents himself and how the world around reacts to the change.
One of the most iconic example of this process is, of course, Tiesto, but in the last month it’s the case of another big name in the electronic music industry, that is Willielm Rebergen aka Headhunterz, who is progressively abandoning his throne in the Hardstyle kingdom to explore new landscapes across the entire EDM scene.
He started experimenting with some hardstyle-affiliated artists like Flosstradamus and Krewella, he then soon moved on collaborating with many of the most influential “mainstream”acts such as Hardwell (‘Nothing Can’t Hold Us’ from the ‘United We Are’ album), W&W (‘Shocker’ and ‘We Control The Sound’) Steve Aoki and last, in chronological order, Dyro .
To tell the truth, for the moment, no one of this tracks sounds very fresh and original but in my opinion it’s only a matter of time before this super talented dutch guy will find is new inspration.
In the meantime you can judge yourself watching Headhunterz himself playing some new exclusive tracks live on the ducht Radio Station SLAM! FM.
