Today, we got something special for you. We have this very brief interview with Chris Schambacher. You may recognize his music as he plays in some of my favorite places such as XFINITY LIVE in Philly. He has been featured on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio and has been all-in-all killing it as of lately. I am excited to present this and let’s get to know a bit about him.
Who are three of your all-time favorite artists, past or present?
I would have to say that Kaskade, Above & Beyond and The Chainsmokers are probably my three favorite artists.
Is there a particular tune that you have never got sick of?
Oh man that’s a tough question because I really love so much music, I really don’t listen to anything that I would get sick of haha.
Describe your perfect day.
I think my perfect day would include being on a beach somewhere with my closest friends and family, getting some studio time and then playing a show somewhere that night. I truly love what I do, and sharing my music with the world really makes things perfect for me.
What would people who know you well say about you in three words?
Well I hope they would say that I’m motivated, caring and passionate.
Ideal studio layout?
I spend so much time touring that most of my studio time is spent in a hotel or on the plane with my laptop and JLab Audio Headphones. So when I have the chances to work in a great studio I’m greatly appreciative. I’m actually hoping to buy my first house in the next year so that I can build my dream studio. I’d love to have a room that caters to my creative vibe, which has amazing acoustics and is full of my favorite analog and outboard gear. I recently worked in Alpine Studios in Toronto and it’s probably my favorite studio that I’ve worked in.
What is your most valued material possession?
My most valued material possession is pictures. Pictures are very important to me whether it’s from family, friends, music or shows I’ve done. I love being able to look back on special moments and times that were special to me.
Is there something musically you would like to do more of next year?
Music wise my goals this next year are to release tons of new music, including some new genres for me and continuing touring heavily all over the world. I’m so privileged to have the opportunity to travel and share my music with the world.
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
In 10 years I would love to be happy, healthy and actively making music and touring around the world. I hope during these next 10 years that I can truly make my mark on the world with my music as well as achieving my own goals.
