Well Ladies & Gentlemen, if you tuned into “The Colbert Report” like I did tonight, you will notice that Daft Punk was not present. Apparently we all got Daft Punked. Stephen Colbert explained during his show that at 2PM today, Van Toffler, president of MTV, claimed that he had the rights to Daft Punk’s first post RAM performance. Colbert, the reasonable man he is, tried to make a compromise with Van Toffler and arrange Daft at both of their events. The final decision however was that Daft Punk would make a live appearance at the MTV VMAs September 27th. Damn you MTV and your Daft Punking! Looks like we’ll have to wait until then to actually see Daft Punk live. Cheers!
