There has been quite a bit of mixed feelings in regards to this original track. Seeing Daft Punk help produce this really made people wish they had a bigger role in creating such a track. This is especially since The Weeknd is an incredible vocalist as well. That said, when I saw that Kygo remixed this track, I was pleasantly surprised and very excited. I was curious if he was going to go full tropical, but I am glad that he really brushed the tropical on this remix rather than primarily tropical. Not to say that would be bad, but what he has done with this remix really brought out the vibes that The Weeknd brings out with his vocals. A fantastic compliment to the robots’ production.
