For those who have missed it, ‘Run Away’ has been a big surprise for the most of the Yellow’s fan because with its’pop orientation’ it strongly departs from the usual aggressive sound of the dutch trio. Calmed down all the fan’s discussions and protests, Yellow Claw have decided to revive the song in a new guise with a brand new remix pack, in which four colleagues producers, Mike Cervello, Valentino Khan, Moksi, Hasse De Moor has given their own interpretation of the track.
The purpose of the pack is clear, giving ‘Run Away’ a new twist that is more suitable to the dance floor, considering that the original form it’s mainly aimed to the personal listening. However it seems that the four remixers have taken literally this mission because at least three version are purely festival and club bangers, very oriented to Jungle Terror and Heavy Bass territories with all their arsenal of mental strikes and frenetic rhythms. Only the Moksi remix, the most successful in my opinion, took a different way, preferring to stay quieter with his future house style and offering us a taste of one of the deepest bass of the year.
