If you’ve never seen Doctor P, go, go now. As one of the first dubstep artists I listened to, there will always be a place in my heart for Doctor P. He represents the UK Dubstep scene with magnificence as he continues to pioneer his sound and further that of the reach of UK Dubstep.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him at Red Rocks before, headlining the inaugural Global Dub Festival, alongside fellow UK producer, Flux Pavilion. When asked to interview Doctor P, I was incredibly excited, and you can listen to the full interview below. (Yes I realize it is short).
We talked about his lengthy career and what he has seen change the most over the years, as well as how he is able to keep true to his roots in the UK Dubstep sound that has become his own. Given that Colorado has a legendary affinity for dubstep and all things bass, Doctor P mentioned that he would love to play some for the crowd, something I couldn’t wait to hear. Lastly, Doctor P gave some insight on his plans for the rest of 2015 which include a bunch of new music that he previewed for the 10,000 strong at Red Rocks. Listen to the interview below and check out more of my pictures from Day 2 at Red Rocks here!
