Disney is Investigating Deadmau5’s Attempt to Trademark his Mau5head Logo

April 4, 2014 by Grant Austin

According to Rolling Stone, as of recently, Disney is investigating a trademark registration that Deadmau5 filed for his Mau5head logo. According to Disney, the logo looks quite similar to their world famous, Micky Mouse trademark. With the possible trademark, Joel will be able to put the mau5head on absolutely anything such as toys, electronic equipment, entertainment stuff, or any other goods you can imagine. The only difference is the eyes, the mouth, and the ears.

Disney has 90 days to investigate Joel’s claim and give notice of opposition that could possibly argue the claim because it would confuse and mislead consumers.
