jdub produced one of our favorite tracks from an up-and-coming artist, “8-Bit Hero.” We loved the track so much, we decided to feature it on Backstage with the EDM Assassins – Episode 3. While this track hit heart chords of all of us, it especially hit Mr. Grim hard because he defines these type of video games as his childhood. With that, he decided to go all out and remix this track especially since jdub released everything you need to do a remix. A few weeks later and we have this awesome remix. Mr. Grim poured his heart and soul into this. He added so much including guitar riffs and vocals. Here is what he had to say:
When I first heard the original, it really brought me back to my favorite video game years of the 8-bit world. In jdub’s “8-Bit Hero” I was blown away by chiptune dubstep with a lasting impressionable melody that stuck to my heart. I got the opportunity to remix it (thankfully) and did what I could to bring my own personal vision of the song in -=Mr Grim=- to life. Both jdub and myself would like to give this song away for free and we hope you all enjoy it!
